Thank you for voting NO
MEASURE B is SunCal's own developer written initiative and has been exposed for its empty promises at recent public meetings.
At both the City Council / School board meeting on January 5th
AND
The League of Women Voters public Forum on January 7th,
It was made clear to ALL that measure B does NOT guarantee that any schools will be built.
NOT ONE !!
Also made clear to all the people in attendance was that the City's financial analysis is VALID, and the developer will not be forced to arrange for enough money to build all the 'public benefits' including the suggested sports complex and the suggested traffic solutions.
--DO NOT BE FOOLED BY SUNCAL'S MISLEADING MAILERS--
They are just pretty pictures with untrue statements
VOTE NO ON MEASURE B -- PROTECT THE POINT
The SunCal proposal is too risky and too costly for Alameda.

Interim City Manager Ann Marie Gallant has said (East Bay Express, 6/24/09)
…vital parts of the measure take away Alameda's ability to "negotiate what we think is in the best interest of the city."
This measure will:
· Take away the City’s ability to negotiate key portions of the development agreement
· Will cost Alamedans hundreds of millions of dollars
· Create gridlock and traffic problems
· Potentially lead to the loss of gas tax revenue and lead to legal challenges from surrounding communities.
The SunCal proposal is the wrong plan for Alameda Point and our community. It is too costly for our City and too risky for the residents of Alameda.
Protect the Point, a Committee Against Measure B, while representing many views on the future of development in Alameda, the group is united in its opposition to the SunCal plan for Alameda Point.
